LABOR DAY PARADE

25 Aug 2019 by Whitney Walker

EXCITING NEWS!

For the first time in Braves history, we are in the Labor Day parade!! Monday September 2nd!

Here is the plan:
1) We will meet at Lacalle’s (by the movie theater) at 9am (0900 for the cool kids).(Parade starts at 10!)
2) Coaches will have sign in/sign out sheets for you to sign in or sign out your child. YOU MUST SIGN IN AND SIGN OUT YOUR CHILD!!
3) PARENTS OF YOUNGER PLAYERS/CHEERLEADERS. We encourage you to walk with your child, as “many hands make like work” in the “herding of cats”.
4) WITH 2 AND 3. Coach’s discretion always wins out.
5) The parade will begin downtown and end at Wilson Park. Braves parents can meet at the skating rink to pick up their player/cheerleader (it will probably be crazy at the end of the parade, and the ice rink seems the closest place to easiest get in/out of).
6) You can either park downtown and take the shuttle back when the parade is over OR you can park near where the parade ends and shuttle to the beginning.

7) WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
a. Bag of candy to throw.
b. FOOTBALL PLAYERS. Wear red jerseys, red socks, and football pants (no helmets/shoulder pads/cleats).
c. CHEERLEADERS. Wear your uniforms.
d. Parents wear Braves gear or red if walking

We apologize for the short notice and understand some folks will be out of town/not able to attend. This will be the first of many Labor Day (and other parades) you will see your Braves in.

We hope to see you and if you have any questions, please ask your coach/team manager.

Have a great day!
